Mabrouk Lazaar
Researcher and PhD student
Mabrouk Lazaar is a researcher and PhD student specializing in history, archaeology and heritage, with a master's degree from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Tunis. The focus of his master's thesis was "The Village of Chenini in the Tataouine Region: An Archaeological and Historical Study". Recipient of a six-month scholarship within the Erasmus+ program at the University of Salento in Lecce, Italy (2019). He is now in his third year of a PhD at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Tunis. His dissertation is concerned with the relationship between tangible and intangible heritage and the local culture of the people of southeastern Tunisia, specifically in the village of Chenini. Professor at the Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts in Tataouine, University of Gabes, in the Department of Anthropology. An activist in civil society associations in the Tataouine region, especially those concerned with heritage.
