Chris Boyd
Documentary filmmaker
Chris Boyd is a documentary filmmaker and writer with a background in cultural heritage studies. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he studied film, as well as Durham University with an MA in Archaeology with an emphasis on archaeological representations in Italian cinema. His first feature documentaries were acquired by PBS in the United States, and in 2019 he created a short documentary series for the US State Department in Jordan that highlighted archaeological conservation work at the ancient city of Jerash. With Partnership for Heritage, Chris will be creating a series of short films highlighting the techniques employed by researchers as well as the outcomes. Chris will also be creating an archive of un-abridged interviews and other audiovisual material as a record of the work as well as a resource for future academics and media outlets.
